The original owner is alive and well so hte story is 100% accurate. All comics were purchased on the newsstand from 1937 to 1943. The owner then wetn to serve in wwii. While he was gone, relatives read the books and treatde some of them roughly. When he returned form the war, he got the books back. Unfortunately, some were missing and some were damaged and many lost their covers. We will be offering both complete books and books that have no covers which we have created reproduction covers for. There are some rare issues and major keys in the collection. Most fo the books have off-white to white pages. More fun comics #52 and detective comics #35 are just 2 of the many complete unrestored original woner classics that will be available for the 1st time. Who will the second owner be?

Throw the overstreet guide out, obtaining this issue unrestored and untouched in a box since 1948 si almost impossible. This example is technically a gd- or so but that doesn't tell the true story. The cover and book is flat as a board and still very glossy with great rich colors.
The interior is off-white to white supple pages. The cover is glossy and smooth and is almost completely clean. The covers are 80% detached and their is a small pieec missing in lower right corner.
This example is worhty of almost any batman or golden age collection. An amazing piece to have or to restore into a high grade copy. Look at the clean interior pages! Offered once with no reserve. Good luck!
