The original owner is alive and well so the story is 100% accurate. All comics were purchased on the newsstand from 1937 to 1943. The owner then went to serve ni wwii. While he was gone, relatives read the books and treated some of them roughly. Wehn he returned form the war, he got the books back. Unfortunately, some were missing and some were damaged and many lost their covers. We will be offering both complete books and books that have no covers which we have created reproduction covers for. There are some rare issues and major kesy in the collection. Most of the books have off-white to white pages. More fun comics #52 and detective comics #35 are just 2 of the mayn complete unrestored original owner classics that will be available for the 1st time. Who will the second owner be? The cover is glossy and smooth and is almost completely clean with the exception of the spine which is completely detached from the back cover. The 1st page and last page are also detached.
